About Monica
Your go-to for all campaign and political consulting needs
Monica Biddix
Founder, Principal
Monica launched Workhorse Strategies in January of 2021 after leading political and public awareness campaigns ranging from local municipal races to presidential runs for over a decade.
Since its launch, Workhorse Strategies has worked with candidates nationwide from Washington, D.C., to Washington state. We’ve helped clients find campaign talent, garnered earned media for several successful campaign launches, and been a part of several upset victories that shocked the establishment.
We’ve worked with a wide variety and diverse group of candidates. We are incredibly proud to have been part of the team that elected the first Indian-American to a citywide office in the District of Columbia. Whether you are running for City Council or the United States Senate, we have the tools in the tool belt to guide you through the process of not just running for office but running a professional operation that leads to victory.
No task is too small or too tall. Whatever your campaign needs, we are here to help. We’ve worked with candidates in primaries in the reddest parts of Texas and the bluest districts of Maryland. From call time management to general consulting and communications strategy, we’re here to ensure you don’t leave anything on the field by Election Day.
In addition to political work, our founder, Monica Biddix, has been a key player in public relations and awareness campaigns including ballot initiatives, non-partisan races, and spearheading successful petition signature drives. Before entering the world of politics, Monica earned Bachelor’s degrees in Political Science and History from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill.
She went on to graduate from the College of Charleston, where she earned her Master’s degree in History and collaborated on A Selective Index to the Post and Courier Newspaper about African Americans in Charleston, 1981-2005, as a graduate assistant at the Avery Research Center for African American History and Culture.
Monica is a western North Carolina native who returned to the East Coast in November 2019 after years of honing her craft in Iowa (The Harvard of Politics). She is an avid UNC basketball fan who also enjoys cheering on the Sayulita Jaibos when she travels to Mexico.
